Vegan Recipe: Frito Pie | Edgy Veg

Learn how to make Frito Pie in just a few easy steps! Frito pie is a dish popular in Southern United States. Think football, and you have the origins of this crazy recipe!!! It’s often served right inside the Fritos bag, but it’s equally appealing in a fancy dish of some sort– for those with any class at all…

Traditionally, the basic ingredients are chili, cheese, and Fritos. I decided to add some veggies to give this bad boy some extra punch! You can get totally creative and make additions like salsa, refried beans, vegan sour cream, rice or jalapeños.

  1. This looks so good. One of my favorite things to do is layer vegan cream cheese, chili and vegan cheddar and bake it then dip fritos into it. I think fritos and chili are soul mates tbh

  2. I laughed only 8 times during this one, but then it was only 3’30 long so I forgive you.

Next time I go at a restaurant, I’m going to complain if the plate doesn’t looke as good as this!
Next step for me is to serve elery and tomato salads in the brown paper bags I bought the celery in…

  3. I try to eat healthy most of the time but when I want junk food, I turn to your channel! Side note I have never heard of this dish before now but I can’t wait to try it.

  4. … Well I’m from Texas and although I’m sure it’s delicious, I used to just get a can of wolf brand chili, mix in the fritos and drown it in cheese. Those are the things I miss. =(.

  5. I’ve made something very similar to this, though it was turkey chili.

The video itself is entertaining too because of how awkward the host is. There’s no reason to be awkward, just talk as if explaining something to a friend.
