VEGAN PIZZA RECIPE | Easy 5 Ingredient Pizza Dough

You’ve seen us make pizza numerous times in our vlogs so by popular request we present to you our super easy 5 ingredient pizza crust recipe. Here we will show you how we make our crispy golden perfect crust… the oil in the pan adds such great flavour to the pizza. If you opt for an oil-free version, see note below. Enjoy!

Ingredients for dough
400 gr flour (we used all purpose flour, you can also use a 50/50 mix of all purpose & whole wheat)
1 1/4 cups warm water
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp yeast
1 tsp salt

1 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil + 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil (for baking sheet)

Toppings of your choice.
Cut veggies into thin slices
Precook veggie meat alternatives halfway before topping pizza

Oven temperature: Preheated to 475 degrees fahrenheit (250 degrees celsius)
Baking time: 8-10 minutes or until crust is golden*

*Pizza is best when baked at a high temperature. It will bake very quickly so be sure to check on crust at 8 minute mark, especially if you made your crust thin.

Note: If you are making an oil free pizza, line pan with parchment to prevent it from sticking. Bake at 425 degrees fahrenheit (220 degrees celsius) for 12-15 minutes or until crust is golden.

No. 1 Salt, pepper, leeks, mushrooms, sunflower seeds & dill weed
No. 2 Tomato sauce, capers, jalepeno, olives & onions
No. 3 Hoisin sauce, vegan sausage, scallions & cilantro
No. 4 BBQ sauce, mushrooms, vegan sausage, onions & basil

Tip! You can also freeze the dough in a plastic bag after punching it down after the first rising. When you remove the dough from the freezer, defrost in the fridge for 12-24 hours (this will be the second rising) and it will be ready to use. Great for an easy pizza night!

  1. I chopped up one onion and 4 cloves of garlic then added the oil from one jar artichoke hearts and cooked onion and garlic then I added some artichoke hearts and blended it then I added chopped artichoke so good then grilled veggies.

  2. I have no idea how much 400 grams is in cups. I’ve Googled it and there are too many variations of what equals a cup. From 110 to 150. Could you give me the measurement in cups?

  3. I don’t see the point of using traditional yeast that takes 90 minutes to finish the raising process. I have always used pizza yeast that has zero raise time and my dough has always come out perfect.
