Vegan Chocolate Marshmallow Treats
I am a GENIUS, koo koo ka choo! I have rare moments when my laziness and my desire come together like the goo in a lava lamp and genius is born. Last night, I really, REALLY wanted chocolate marshmallow rice treats, but I was not about to get the big stock pan, stand over the stove waiting for the marshmallows to melt, wrestle with the cereal… and I didn’t want to use any oils to keep things from sticking… AND I didn’t want to try washing out the pot afterwards.
That’s when I said to my awesome self, “Try making them in one bowl with the microwave.”
“Ok, but let me turn on the camera in case this turns out to be something cool.”
“Smart thinking, Jill, your fans will love you for it. Well, the ones who still partake in gooey chocolate treats anyway.”
For these treats I used store brand rice cereal, Enjoy Life Chocolate Chips (vegan) and Dandies Marshmallows (vegan).
I didn’t try to measure the ingredients. I figured when you go to make this, your microwave would be a different size, the bowl you use would be different, therefore you measurement and desired quantity would be different. I know you are a smart cookie. You can eye it and still come out with treats worth satisfying a ravenous sweet tooth.
