Today we’re going to show you how to assemble the Yoyo cake from our newest book Festive Flavour. www.thermomix.com.au The delicious Yoyo cake is a Thermomix ® tradition. Every celebration we beg our recipe tester Izabela to make it for us and now we’ve convinced her to share the recipe! The Yoyo slice is a traditional polish recipe made up of layers of delicate pastry, silky semolina custard and prune jam.
The recipe, found in Festive Flavour, is best prepared a day in advance to allow the layers to set and the flavours to develop. This also makes it perfect for celebrations as there is nothing to be done on the day except to slice and serve. The semolina custard and prune jam can both be prepared a day in advance and stored in the fridge.

The pastry is very delicate and light so it may crack. Don’t panic, simply push the pastry together and continue with the filling.
