tarte flambee – quick vegan recipe

Ingredients (serves 2)

1 pizza dough

White sauce

2 tsp wholemeal spelt flour
200 ml almond milk
1 onion
2 tbsp rape seed oil
1 tsp balsamic vinegar (white)
1 pinch of salt
1 pinch of pepper
1 pinch of nutmeg

Mustard sauce

1 tbsp mustard (medium hot)
1 tsp agave syrup

Topping

100 g tomatoes
100 g mushrooms
1 onion
2 tbsp pine nuts

Method

For the white sauce, wash and chop onion. Mix 100 ml almond milk with wholemeal spelt flour. Heat a pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the oil. Add onion and cook it for 1-2 minutes. Than add 100 ml almond milk, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Bring to the boil. Add flour-almond milk mixture and let the sauce sit to thicken.

Mix mustard with agave syrup. Put the pizza dough on a baking sheet with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 200C.

Wash and dice tomatoes and remove stalk parts. Clean and slice mushrooms. Peel and slice onion.
Put the mustard sauce on the pizza dough. Than, put the white sauce on it. Top it with tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and pine nuts. Bake the tarte flambee for about 15-20 minutes.
