Spaghetti aglio olio is a simple Italian pasta dish made mainly with olive oil and garlic. It can be served with a bowl of soup or bread toast like garlic toast or garlic cheese toast. It just takes less than 15 minutes to prepare.

Ingredients to make spaghetti aglio olio

230 to 250 grams spaghetti
1 tbsp minced garlic or 2 large cloves of garlic pressed
1 tsp red chili flakes
2 tbsps of good quality olive oil
1 tbsp more olive oil for cooking pasta
Handful of chopped parsley (optional)
Salt to taste
2 tbsps Parmesan cheese (optional)
