How to make jiffy adai/protein rich pancakes,little millet dosa batter and saravanabhavan style karachutney.

INSTANT ADAI MIX- High protein & fibre crepes made of lentils,rice and spices.

1 cup urad dal
1/2 cup chana dal
1/4 cup whole yellow moong dal
1/4 cup toor dal
1/4 cup idli rice
1/4 cup parboiled rice.
Half inch piece of asafoetida (hing)
Salt to taste
10 black pepper carnels
2 tablespoons cumin
4 red chillies

Grind all the above into a fine powder and store in airtight jar.
Then take req. powder in a bowl,add water and grind it in mixie for 1 minute.
Allow this mixture to rest for 30 mins.
Now make Adai as same as Dosa.
Let it cook in medium flame, both sides and serve it with chutney or aviyal.

Little millet/saamai dosa batter

Little millet – 1 cup
Idli rice – 1 cup
Urad dal – ½ cup
Methi seeds – ½ spoon
Soak everthing for 4 hours,grind it into soft batter and let it ferment for 8 hours.

Saravana bhavan style kara chutney/Red chutney:
Urad dal – 1 tsp
Channa dal – 1 tsp
Onion – 1 big, chopped
Carrot – ½ ,chopped
Tomato – 1 big ,chopped
Tamarind – 1 piece
Saute all ingredients in oil ,grind it into a fine chutney.

For tadka:
Oil
Mustard seeds
Curry leaves.
