Sarah Carey is the editor of Everyday Food magazine and her job is to come up with the best ways to make fast, delicious food at home. But she’s also a mom to two hungry kids, so the question “What’s for dinner?” is never far from her mind — or theirs, it seems! Her days can get crazy busy (whose don’t?), so these videos are all about her favorite fast, fresh meals — and the tricks she uses to make it all SO much easier.

  1. I couldn’t stand the idea of leaving my oven on for two hours — also I wanted this for lunch, not dinner — so I boiled the potatoes after cutting them with a knife. Watched it closely so they didn’t get too soft then stuck them in the oven on roast. All in all took under and hour, came out just the way it does in this video and was truly delicious 🙂

  2. Sorry, but what the hell are ‘shallats’? They are called ‘shallots’!! I totally get the removal of unnecessary letters from English words, such as ‘colour =’color’, but stop with the mispronounciation, eh?
