Red Sauce Pasta Recipe – Mushroom Pasta In Creamy Tomato sauce With Indian Twist – Sharmilazkitchen


Easy to make Red Sauce pasta with available ingredients. No more fancy ingredients needed to make this red and creamy pasta.
I used milk instead of cream to bring creaminess in this pasta. You can also do so if don’t have cream around.
You can also use regular tomato ketch up (with Italian seasoning) instead of pasta sauce (means if you have not found pasta).
You can cheat with some ingredients, but still it will taste heavenly. But don’t say this secret to any of your friends. Let them wonder how do you make it .. 🙂
Ingredients:
To boil pasta:
1 tbsp salt and olive oil
2 liter water or as required
300 gm penne pasta

To make sauce:
1 tbsp olive oil
10 – 12 chopped garlic cloves
100 gm mushrooms, sliced
1/2 cup tomato puree
1 cup pasta sauce
2 tsp Italian seasoning (mixed herbs) and chili flakes.
1 cup milk
Salt to taste
6 – 7 basil leaves, chopped
Lot of mozzarella cheese, grated

  1. Okay, really. REALLY. Tomato ketchup? In a tomato sauce? Jesus. That is way too sweet, that will NOT taste good. What you want to do is add chopped tomatoes and white wine to the mushrooms, and then some cream.
