* 3-5 ripe bananas, cut up into 1 1/2 inch pieces and skewered onto lollipop sticks and placed in the freezer for 20 min.

Caramel Sauce:
* 1 1/4 cup pitted dates
* 1/4 cup cashews
* 1 cup water

blend the caramel sauce ingredients in a high speed blender and criss cross the sauce all over the frozen banana skewers.

For the eyes:

* powdered sugar
* orange juice
* carob chips ( for the pupils of the eyes)

Mix the powdered sugar and the orange juice in a bowl until it gets sticky and less guey. Shape little eye ball shaped blobs onto the bananas and place a carob chip in the center of the eyeball.

In case you wanna make the little ghosts/monsters all you need is a few coconut shreds and dip the caramel covered bananas into it.

The original recipe comes from this site: http://lexieskitchen.com/lexies_kitchen/2011/10/11/kid-diy-banana-mummies-and-things.html
They didn’t use all raw ingredients so I modified it 🙂

  1. Wouldn’t peanut butter work for the mummy wrap sauce?  Hi, I love your videos and your acting, very great quality.  Also, I really enjoyed your Why Milk Isn’t Good For You series.  I’m vegan, despite the fact that I recorded video of my friends foraging shellfish… I only forage mushrooms and berries with them.  I’ve been vegan for 6 years.  I was vegetarian for 14 years before that.

  2. LOL The speeded up voice at the end LOL so funny lol that looks yummy. No wonder you can stick the vegan diet you know some great recipes. I have no Milk now for 1 week and 5 days and before that 1 year and 2 months no milk this time I’m going to try and make it permanent. Thanks for sharing your video
