Quick & Tasty Raw Vegan Green Smoothie – Tasty Veggie Recipe # 5


A Green Smoothie is a great way to eat your veggies without tasting them. This simple, creamy raw vegan smoothie uses more veggies than fruits (no bananas either) as compared to most traditional smoothie recipes. The avocado and zucchini give the shake a very creamy texture while the ripe green grapes give a balance of acidity and sweetness.

If more protein is desired in this smoothie, you can add in your favorite protein powder, tofu, or any high protein dairy products (if you are not vegan).

Recipe:

Ingredients:
1 cup green grapes (frozen would be preferred and take off the stems)
1/8 avocado wedge (include the skin for extra fiber)
1 medium zucchini chopped
lemon juice squeezed from 1 lemon
1 cup filtered water
1 cup raw spinach
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup ice
sweetener to taste

Instructions:
1. Add green grapes, avocado, zucchini, lemon juice, and water into a blender. Blend at high speed until thoroughly mixed.

2. Mix in raw spinach with a stirrer at a low speed.

3. Pour in ice, cinnamon, and vanilla extract and blend at high speed until the ice is thoroughly mixed.

4. Taste the smoothie and add in sweetener based upon your sweetness preference. Mix at medium speed one last time.

Enjoy the smoothie right away or you can store it in the fridge for up to a day.
