Chef John, you know by now that no one has watched more of your videos that I have, Just because I have not added an asinine comment doesn’t mean I haven’t watched, And this is in reverse order, so chronology doesn’t count. But there are two things that make me cringe in this otherwise great vid. The first is, WHERE IS THE GD HAND GUARD ON THE MANDOLINE!!! I don’t see dead people, I see fingertips! (Remind me to tell you the mohel joke). The second is there is no “T” in across, like there is no “t” in borsch.

  2. Why do these videos and shows seem to always talk about taking the cabbage core out? Just sit down and eat it! It tastes great! Possibly the most flavorful part of the cabbage!

  3. I made this for Thanksgiving and it turned out pretty good, an 8 out of 10. I used slightly less vinegar because I find that Chef John likes things more vinegary than my family does. I was thinking the dressing was going to taste like the creamy dressing from Chinese Chicken Salad, but it did not. I’d like to add that this slaw DID keep well, for me, tasting just fine the next day too and not at all overly marinated.
