One correction about the video: I say that I don’t put any onions or garlic in my basic sauce, by that I mean raw onion or garlic. The basic recipe does use onion together with carrots celery and tomatoes during the cooking process.

  1. Crush some hot dried red peppers in the pan when you sauté the garlic in the oil, then when the sauce is almost ready add a splash of heavy cream. Delicious!

  2. It works well when the tomatoes are aren’t ripe yet and they’re a little too acid, if they’re nice and red and sweet it’s not necessary. Thanks for following!! Much love to you too!

  3. It’s an old trick of my grandma’s to fight the acidity of the tomato. You don’t mix salt and sugar? What about in desserts? There’s always a pinch of salt in desserts!
