Greetings! Welcome to Christmas Week! This will be a super busy week and none of us will have time to putter around in the kitchen. We all need to get down to business and get this job done. So while we were spending our time baking cookies and Christmas treats, I decided to just go ahead and prep a nice pot of 15 bean soup in the pressure cooker. Truth be told, I forgot to soak my beans and while you can make this in the slow cooker without soaking them, they do take longer than just regular pintos or red beans because this mixture contains some lower absorbing beans like chick peas and butter beans.
I also used some of my food storage preps such as dehydrated onion, carrot and celery to make this preparation even easier. Putting them under pressure for about 15 minutes made these beans easy to cook over the duration. I love this gadget and would never be without it, it makes my life easier!
