Red Lentil Bolognese

1 cup red lentils
2 cups water
2 cups passata
1 tbsp. coconut oil
1 white onion
6 garlic cloves
1 red pepper
1 ½ tbsp. coconut palm sugar
2 tbsp. dried basil
1 tbsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. paprika
sea salt & black pepper (to taste)
handful fresh basil (chopped)

Aduki Shepherds Pie

3 medium sweet potatoes (approx 6/7 cups chopped)
1 tbsp. coconut oil
1 tbsp garlic powder
sea salt & black pepper (to taste)
1/3 cup bread crumbs
1/3 walnuts

1 cup cooked aduki beans
2 carrots
½ cup frozen peas
5 brown mushrooms
½ cup / approx. 1 cup leeks
1 tbsp. coconut oil
1 onion
6 garlic cloves
1 tbsp. dried rosemary
1 tbsp. dried oregano
1 tbsp. dried thyme
2 cups passata or chopped tomatoes
1 ½ tbsp. balsamic vinegar
sea salt & black pepper (to taste)

Millet & Black Bean Patties

1 cup cooked millet
1 ½ cooked black beans or 1 tin
1 red onion
5 garlic cloves
1 tsp. cumin powder
1 tsp. smoked paprika
1/8 tsp. cayenne
1 sweet pepper (red or yellow)
handful fresh coriander
sea salt & black pepper (to taste)


  1. That red lentil Bolognese looks so good wouldn’t mind adding carrots in mine since I need to use them up also I made your baked beans recipe ahead can’t wait to try them in morning before going to work.

  2. I just tried all these recipes exempt the Black Bean Patties.  Will try it as soon as I find some millet.  Learned something new, I didn’t know coriander is the same as cilantro.  Went crazy looking for it.  It was right in my face.  LOL!  BTW….everything turned out delicious!!!!!

Ms.Tish I watch you all the time you are truly a joy to watch especially when you do shopping on your Saturdays,you light up more than a Christmas tree 😆 please keep up the great work that you are doing.I know you were asking for future suggestions of what people would like to see so would it be possible for you to do some Panamanian dishes and of course from a vegan angle.Keep your videos coming and continue to be the blessing that you are.

  5. This red lentil bolognese is fantastic I’ve made it and ate it all practically I will do it again tonight or tomorrow I’m going on ninety days no meat fish or chicken thank you for sharing your passion for good healthy cooking
