205g icing sugar
190g ground almonds
144g egg whites
Food colour paste (optional)
190g caster sugar

    We are attempting to make the meringue and it isn’t exactly working. It is so hard to time the syrup AND the whites right. Could you add some detail in that part of the video?

  2. How about substituting peanuts on almonds? Will it work? Because i wanted to make a cheaper version.. and because almonds are expensive in the philippines..thanks

  3. How long will these macaroons keep for after the full process? If you keep them in the fridge for two days, do you need to keep them refrigerated after that as well or can they be at room temp in an airtight container?

  4. For all the Americans:

    1 cup powder sugar
    2/3 cup ground almonds
    1/2 cup egg whites
    Food color paste (optional)
    2/3 cup baker’s sugar or super fine granulated sugar
    2 Tbsp water
