  1. Hi Elle! Something you may want to try since you like healthy, natural ingredients- I recently started making my own vegetable broth and man, is it easy. Every time you have veggie scraps (the base of celery and cabbage stalks, the base of a head of broccoli, the crown of a bell pepper, leftover garlic and onion including the skin, extra pieces of carrot- peeled unless it’s organic) just throw them into a freezer bag. This reduces food waste and makes an EXCELLENT broth base! When you’re ready to make the broth, grab it out of the freezer, throw it all in a deep stock pot with some whole peppercorns, parsley and thyme and fill it with water. Let it simmer with the lid on for about 3 hours and then strain well. I fill it so high with water that it makes 12-14 cups, which can be stored in the fridge for 4 days or the freezer for 4 months. It makes a delicious and natural base to chilis and soups like your butternut squash one here 🙂 and it’s essentially free to make. Enjoy!

  2. New subscriber here 🙂 Thank you do much for the wonderful recipes! Could you please let me know where you got your cutting boards from? They look do versatile and easy to clean.

  3. My kids love smoothies, I like to put coconut milk and avocados for healthy fat and leave out seedy fruit like blackberries butI find my $20 Wal-Mart blender does the job even with spinach.

  4. Your hair looks AMAZING in the part when you’re making the soup. Do you have a tutorial on it? Or can you make a quick one. I love it

  5. Ooh definitely going to try the soup Elle !! We are 6 months vegan now !! I never ever thought i would be vegetarian never mind vegan but Its def showing its benefits already!! Xx

  6. Love it! I wanted one of these a few years ago for Christmas, and my husband in his “wisdom” decided on his research to get a different brand. And every time I use it, I secretly want to say, “why didn’t you listen to me” 😂😂 in his defense he thought he knew best and was trying to be sweet, but a girl knows what she wants, am I right?!?!

  7. Chunky/thick smoothies or soups are my actual worst nightmare, if the vitamix makes a genuinely smooth smoothie i would be all about that! I use my standard blender for cake batter all the time if you want another time saving hack haha, takes away the fun of mixing for your kids though.

  8. Not sure if I ever mentioned but you and another Canadian vlogger have a “Cohen”. I fell in LOVE with the name but spelled my lil guy “Koen”. ☺️ I have 3 daughters with K names so I altered it. 💗 He’s 19 months now. Love the soup btw!!

  9. It looks delicious. The boys really enjoy it and it’s a good way to get them to eat vegetables. Elle your hair is gorgeous. Omg Forde is turning into Dan.
