Kathy’s Recipe Quick Ham and Rice Dinner 2

http://www.FunToWatch.TV Recipe: 1/3 cup margarine, butter or chicken fat
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2/3 cup milk
2 cups cut up ham
1 13 oz.can of peas and carrots (drained into measuring cup)
1 chicken bouillon

2 cups water
1 cup rice

Pour 2 cups water and rice into saucepan. Cook until done, stirring frequently, about 20 minutes.

Add enough water to vegetable liquid to make 1 3/4 cup broth. Add chicken bouillon. Heat margarine over low heat until melted. Blend in flour, onion, salt and pepper. Cook, over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and bubbly; remove from heat. Stir in broth and milk. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in ham and vegetables. Place over rice.

Notes: You can use turkey or chicken instead. You may also use steak or ground beef, but use a beef bouillon instead of chicken. You can use potatoes or egg noodles instead of rice. Enjoy.
