Italian Salad Dressing Recipe Made Easy by Diane Love To Bake


1 cup olive oil or vegetable oil, 1/4 cup cider or white vinegar, 2 Tablespoons finely chopped onion or 1/2 teaspoon dried onion, 1 teaspoon dried basil or
1 tablespoon fresh basil chopped, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 teaspoon yellow mustard or ground mustard, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, 1/4 pepper, 1 or 2 finely chopped garlic or 1 teaspoon dried garlic. Mix well

Creamy Italian Dressing recipe: Use 1/2 cup of the Italian dressing already mixed , add 1/2 cup mayonnaise stir well.

Lite Italian Dressing recipe use 1/2 cup apple juice and 1/2 cup olive oil combine all other ingredients for Italian dressing recipe. Mix well

  1. I’ve never made salad dressing from scratch, but this is now my go-to Italian dressing recipe! I do the half olive oil/half canola oil method, and also use a little red wine vinegar or rice vinegar along with the apple cider vinegar. Fresh basil also makes this really great.

  2. @thomasplace I take my comment back. I had it in a salad and it was excellent. I think the next time I make it, I may try a lighter olive oil and instead of onion, I may mince/grate some shallots. Favorited.
