Sarah Carey is the editor of Everyday Food magazine and her job is to come up with the best ways to make fast, delicious food at home. But she’s also a mom to two hungry kids, so the question “What’s for dinner?” is never far from her mind — or theirs, it seems! Her days can get crazy busy (whose don’t?), so these videos are all about her favorite fast, fresh meals — and the tricks she uses to make it all SO much easier.

  1. I make this when we go on a picnic. However I make my own Italian bread bc that’s how we like it. This is also great for company when we have a game night. I’ve never used the capers but I know I’d like it. Great recipe, easy and hearty. Thanks so much.:o)

  2. Lovely video as always. BTW, provolone is pronounced as 4 syllables in Italian [pro-vo-low-neh] :). I would love to try these with just veggies and vegan mayo! Yum!

  3. What does a sourdough bread taste like? Does it actually taste sour or is it just to describe the yeastiness? I never really had any good experience with those type of hard, crusty bread except french baguette
