Poha (Beaten Rice)

A plate of poha or pohe is one of the best and healthiest Maharashtrian breakfasts ever. Made with pressed rice, and onions sautéed with a simple tempering of mustard seeds, turmeric, green chillies and jeera, finished off with a sprinkling of fresh coriander leaves.

Quick and Healthy Poha

Ingredients:

– Oil -5 Tbsp
– Dry Red Chillies- 3 Pcs
– Mustard Seeds- 2 Tbsp
– Curry Leaves- 2-3 Branches
– Peanuts- A Handfull
– Chopped Onions- 1/2 Cup
– Chopped Green Chillies- 1Tbsp
– Turmeric Powder -1/2 Tbsp
– Poha(Beaten Rice)- 200grams
– Salt – To Taste
– Sugar- To Taste
– Coriander Leaves Garnish
