Instant Jowar Dosa Recipe || Sorghum Dosa || Healthy Breakfast || Onion Tomato Chutney || Jonna Dosa


Jowar / Sorghum, a gluten-free whole grain, is considered an excellent alternative for people who suffer from ‘gluten intolerance’ and it is rich in nutrients as well. It is highly recommended for people with diabetes. So today I came up with Instant Jowar dosa, a perfect breakfast recipe.This is very simple, easy to make and tasty too.This dosa does not require fermentation unlike other traditional dosas and can be prepared in 10 min. Dosa making technique is similar to Instant Rava dosa or neer dosa.Jowar Dosa tastes good when served with Onion tomato chutney. Do try it and let us know your feedback.

Ingredients:

Jowar / Sorghum flour – 1 cup
Rice flour – ½ cup
Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
Green chilies – 2 (finely chopped)
Curry leaves – 5( finely chopped)
Coriander leaves – Handful(finely Chopped)
Water – 3 cups
Salt
Oil – for making dosa

Method:

1.In a mixing bowl add all of the ingredients except water.
2.Now add water and whisk smooth. The batter should be of thin consistency.
3.Spread oil on hot dosa pan and pour batter like a thin layer.
4.Roast for 3 mins or until it turns golden brown.
5.Roast dosa on one side and fold dosa in the middle.
6.Serve Jowar dosa with Onion tomato chutney.

Onion tomato chutney

Ingredients:

Onion – 1 Medium size
Tomatoes – 7
Red chilies – 8
Salt

Tempering:
————–
Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Curry leaves – 10

Procedure:
————–

1.In a blender add chopped onions, tomatoes, red chilies, salt and blend it to smooth paste.
2.Take a pan, add oil . Once the oil is hot add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add cumin seeds and curry leaves and saute for 1 min
4.Now add blended paste and mix well
5.Cover and cook it for 10 min
6.Stir in between, once mixture thickens, switch off the flame
7.Goes well with most of the South Indian breakfast recipes.
