  1. They got going early in the morning (probably 8 a.m. not 5 a.m.) because they had to stuff the turkey. Besides the fact that a stuffed turkey takes longer to cook, stuffing takes a bit of time to make with all the chopping and sauteing of celery, onions, and green pepper done by a non professional cook who is slower at it. They wanted the turkey ready for an early afternoon, leisurely meal. And they also needed time to make and set jello molds filled with cream cheese and fruit and time to peel lots of potatoes for mashed potatoes and time to prepare the fresh green bean casserole and the carrots and the candied sweet potatoes and to bake the two pies (prepared beforehand) in the oven. They also needed time to insert the middle extension in the dining room table and to pull down from the top of the cupboard the best china (dusty from lack of use) and the fancy wine glasses and they needed to wash them and the sterling silver, and to cover the table in a white linen cloth, and to set the table, complete with linen napkins. They wanted a fair amount of this work done before the rest of the family arrived, so they could spend at least some time enjoying cocktails with the relatives rather than remaining alone in the kitchen with a lot of work still to do.

  2. This is why I DON’T eat from CAUCASIANS. This woman NEVER ONCE MADE ANY EFFORT TO EVEN WASH THAT BIRD, CLEAN IT OF ALL THAT CLEAR MUCOUS LIKE SUBSTANCE THAT IS USUALLY FOUND ON or INSIDE POULTRY. SHE FAILED TO FREE IT OF ANY NASTY FAT, NOR
DID SHE CHECK FOR FEATHERS THAT MAY HAVE BEEN LEFT ON THE BIRD. MORE IMPORTANTLY, AS I MENTIONED BEFORE, SHE MADE ABSOLUTELY NO EFFORT TO CLEAN IT!!!!! I SEE MOST CAUCASIANS DO THIS. THEY PURCHASE THEIR MEAT, REFRAIN FROM CLEANING IT AND THROW IT IN THE OVEN, FROM STORE TO OVEN. DISGUSTING INDEED.

  3. Ina Garten is an adorable chef.  I just enjoy watching her prepare foods for her friends .  Jeffrey absolutely matches Ina’s adorability.  They make me happy and relax me.
