  1. Regardless if it’s authentic or not, this is a very delicious lasagna recipe. For those who have time and want to improve the taste and authenticity a notch: Use two 28 oz can of San Marzano crushed tomatoes from Italy and omit the tomato paste, tomato sauce, and water. You will then simmer it for a minimum of two hours but I find that 4 hours is ideal. I make my sauce the day before and the taste is always better. San Marzano tomatoes may be hard to find depending on where you live, but they are worth it. They are naturally sweeter and less acidic then any other in the world. I still add sugar since I like mine sweet but you can omit it if you use these tomatoes. That’s it. This recipe is so good that I don’t want to mess with it anymore. The only other option is to maybe add a splash of red wine for flavor and depth.

  2. This is the best recipe for Lasagna !!! I have made it several times and love the way it comes out the next day so solid because of the cheese slices and i love it 🙂
