  1. Hi, Pam Yulenka – Bacon has a higher fat content than sausages and will release more fat, so the gravy may become very greasy. You can try it though because we all know the flavor would be terriric. You will probably need to adjust the amount of flour though, and you won’t need as much butter as the recipe calls for.   2. Why the the sausage from the pan? I make it all the time and just add my flour to my sausage and cook it that way for my rue then add my milk and seasonings. 1 less dirty dish that way. No need for butter. We make this at least 2 times a month if not 3 for dinner. My kids LOVE busicuts and gravy 💜💜
