  1. The holidays are here… Steve is making mincemeat and Gabby decorated everything this past weekend.
Looks amazing. I wish I had one for breakfast. One question …Should mincemeat be stored refrigerated or is it stable at room temperature?

  2. I found a trick for near zero alky wine. Take your fruit (s) of choice or frozen juice. Add sugar to make it sweet. Place open wide bowl or glass cooking dish (meatloaf dishes work great) in your hot water heater room on top of heater to sit for 12-24 hours. It will sour and bloom. After 6 hrs, check flavor and adjust sugar as you like. Very seat of the pants but very effective. Alcohol content will usually be less than 1percent. 85-95 F is idea, 100 is the maximum.

  3. Love it Steve. Great vid. Love the Christmas videos. Aussies share a lot of the same things at Christmas us Brits do. Speaking of which I can’t wait for the ploughmans video… I miss those.

  4. I am the only fruit mince pie eater in my house. All good for me. When people give us fruit mince pies at Xmas gifts, I get to eat the lot. Love your recipe. I think apple is the key ingredient.

  5. What a great gift for the holidays! But once they are jarred do they need to be canned? If not do they need to be stored in the frig? Or is the pantry ok?

  6. Somehow, the smells of Christmas are what really let you know that ’tis the season. Wish I could smell your cooking, but so far YouTube hasn’t figured that out yet! Great stuff!

  7. Much easier then Mum made it. Are there going to
Be more recipes then pie for the mincemeat? Also, how can I can this mincemeat. With the suet wasn’t sure a canner or pressure cooker would be needed. Thanks
