Today I wanted to share my super easy chicken recipe. In India we have many different versions of chicken curry, this particular one is my version.

For Yogurt Chicken Curry Recipe you would be needing:

300 g of chicken breast – Cut into medium size pieces

For marination:
1 tsp. cumin powder
½ tsp. red chili powder
¼ tsp. turmeric powder
1 tsp. coriander powder
Salt for taste
½ cup hung curd
1 tbsp. ginger and garlic paste
½ tbsp. oil

For curry:
2 onions chopped
Fresh ginger and garlic chopped
1 ½ tbsp. clarified butter (you can also use olive oil)
1 tsp. cumin powder
½ tsp. red chili powder
¼ tsp. turmeric powder
1 tsp. coriander powder
1 tsp. garam masala
Salt for taste
1 cup hung curd
½ cup milk

Method for marination:
1) Take all the ingredients and marinate the chicken
2) Cover it and keep it in the fridge for 2 to 3 hrs

Method for the Chicken curry
1) All onions in the frying pan containing 1 ½ tbsp. clarified butter (for a healthier version use olive oil)
2) Add the ginger and garlic and once slightly brown add 1 Tsp. cumin powder, ½ tsp. red chili powder, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, and 1 tsp. coriander powder
3) Add hung curd and salt to taste
4) Add the chicken mix well and add water
5) Add garam masala mix everything well
6) Finally, add the milk

Server this dish hot with steam rice or any of the Indian bread.
