  1. You people do understand that a recipe is an idea….right? It’s not written in stone so that means if you want to use home made sauce you can. So, the best thing to do if you don’t like the idea of packaged sauce is to…..make your own! Or even skip it.

  2. Interesting idea but I agree with some of the commenters that packaged hollandaise sauce = not a good idea. 🙁 Just make it yourself, it’s not difficult! I’ve made it twice before and it’s SO worth it!

  3. like the idea of eggs benedict as a casserole for brunch, an easy way to serve a number of guests. the allrecipes eggs benedict video shows the making of what looks like a decent hollandaise for those who don’t like the idea of a packet sauce. i think this is worth trying, and might consider dropping a few eggs on top during the last few minutes of baking to see if i could have an almost poached egg. looking forward to trying this out.
