How to make Delicious Vegetarian Pinto Beans

I found that I did not need to add salt to this at all because it had such a wonderful flavour but remember you may need to add salt to this if your stock doesn’t have enough salt in it. You can use whatever type of stock you chose if you do not have vegetable stock on hand.

8 oz dried pinto beans (ready to cook type like goya)
1 medium or large onion chopped
1 green bell pepper roughly chopped
4 1/2 cups vegetable stock
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 pack of goya sazon
1 tablespoon butter or margerine
2 cups water

  2. Okay, this sounds good; and, healthy. I think I’ll use coconut oil instead of butter, and add celery to the saute phase. When I make a pot, I’ll update my thoughts. Thanks!
