It is also highly versatile in that you can modify the ingredients. Today I demonstrate using felino salami and mozzarella cheese. However you can use a number of different Italian cured meats (salami, sopressata, prosciutto, capocollo) or swap out the mozzarella for provolone.
2 pieces rustic Italian bread
1 slice mozzarella or other cheese
4-5 slices salami or other Italian cured meat
4-5 basil leaves
1 large egg
1-2 tablespoons olive oil
