Ingredients
– 2 cups white bread flour
– 2 cups whole wheat bread flour
– 1 tsp yeast
– 2 and 1/4 cups water
– 2 tsp salt
– add-ins (I use seeds)

Directions
It’s best when you let the bread rise overnight so make the dough the night before. (You can let it rise for a couple hours too). Mix all flours, yeast, water and add-ins. Let rise. After it has risen, place the dutch oven in the oven while the oven is pre-heating to 450°. Once the oven has heated, place the dough into the dutch oven and bake for 30 mins with the lid on and 15 minutes with the lid off. DONE! SO YUMMYYYY!!!

  1. the best but i dont do it with yeast i do it with flour that i have made it 3 dayes before i make the bread; and when leave it over night it is made the fermentation
    very well

  3. Hi Lisa, could I use buckwheat flour mixed with brown rice flour instead of the mix of flours you are using? I’m on a gluten-free diet right now and was wondering if this recipe works with gluten-free flours, thank you in advance, you bread looks really amazing

  5. i made this with 2 cups of whole wheat bread flour and 2 cups of Rye flour and it looked and smelt amazing but the texture inside was sticky. Any ideas why its sticky? p.s ive never made bread before. Thanks.

  6. I make this all the time now! Dough often ends up with a different consistency, but the bread always ends up good. I add 1/2c.flax 1/2.c. sunflower seeds and a cup of raisins. Or else flax sunflower and dried cranberries blueberries. I always prepare before bed and let rise overnight in a warm spot (under my sink). This is an awesome easy recipe my whole family enjoys. I’m really glad I found it. Thank you!
