Chef Katharine Presents a Delicious Holiday Recipe: Brussel Sprouts with Bacon | Williams-Sonoma

An easy dinner recipe can help you make a whole meal for your family quickly and easily. In this video, Katharine Marsch, Sous Chef at The Breslin Bar & Dining Room makes Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Bacon.

This easy dinner recipe is a fall favorite and can be served for a Thanksgiving dinner party. Katharine starts by slicing the onions and putting them in a skillet that contains oil. She adds a pinch of salt, tosses the onions and keeps it on low heat for about 30 minutes. After the onions caramelize, she removes them and keeps them aside. In another large pot, she adds the Brussels sprouts and allows them to blanch for 10 minutes. After they are done, she sets them aside to cool.

She then cuts the larger Brussels sprouts into half. She adds chopped bacon into a skillet of olive oil and leaves them on the pan until they cook well. Once they are cooked, she drains the fat leaving about one tablespoon in the pan and puts it back on the heat. Lastly, she adds the roasted Brussels sprouts, caramelized onions and sage and cooks them until it is ready.
