  2. Dear God…thanks for giving Carolyn a calling to cook & communicate so very well. Made the this for Thanksgiving dinner last night & I usually get a B+ for my potatoes from hubby.   3. Carolyn, I consider myself a pretty good cook. I loved to cook with my mother, my great grandmother and my great aunt. All were amazing southern cooks and I miss them dearly. I tried this recipe yesterday 11/23/17 and I had to thank you. I used the white sweet potatoes and they were absolutely delicious! Definitely subscribing to your channel. 👍🏽

  4. Thanks a ton for the amazing yam recipe!  I had never made home made yams before and your recipe looked good – understatement!  They came out great!  I halved the recipe as 7 lbs would have been too much for us, but they still came out fantastic.  Thanks for sharing!

  5. Love this recipie…thank you for this recipie…my yams are always a hit but I never knew how to thicken that syrup. Do you bake covered first 35 mins then cover again after you use thickening agent or for second half of baking leave uncovered.
