BETH’S FOOLPROOF SNICKERDOODLE COOKIE RECIPE
Makes 2 dozen cookies

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup (240 g) unsalted butter
1 1/4 cups (250 g) sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp (7.5 ml) vanilla
2 1/4 cups (270 g) flour
1 tsp (5 ml) baking soda
2 tsp (10 ml) cream of tartar
1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) salt

CINNAMON SUGAR:
3 tbsp (37 g) sugar
2 tsp (5 ml) cinnamon

METHOD:
Preheat oven to 350F (176C) degrees.

Cream together the butter and sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Then add eggs, one at a time, until well incorporated. Then add vanilla, until combined.

In a separate bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt. Then add the dry mixture to your butter mixture in thirds until well combined.

Then in a small bowl combine the sugar and cinnamon until combined.

Portion out the dough with a 2” (5 cm) ice cream scooper. Roll in the cinnamon sugar. And place on a parchment lined cookie sheet.

Bake for 9-11 mins. Until tops are cracked and cookies are golden brown around the sides.

Place on a cooling rack until cooled. And enjoy!

  1. Hello Beth, I am making these right now.. I have an order for them for Thanksgiving and I wanted to try them out before then.. I love the dough and the smell.. I have never heard of or made these before but my husband tasted the dough and said if the cookies come out and it taste better then the dough without the rest the ingredients and baked then you have a keeper and I just took them out of the oven the first batch and they are still warm alittle and they have that crack and my husband tasted one and he said keeper and they are good.. So thanks Beth for an awesome recipe again.

  2. omg! thx so much for the incredible recipe. i made these and served them to my friends when they came over for a sleepover and they really did go nuts just like you said. i love your channel and i love you recipes. thx!

  3. I made this recipe for a family gathering and they were perrrrrrfect!..buttery..slightly chewy..and the right sweetness too.. it was easy to follow and the serving size is perfect..I had exactly 24 cookies (and they were ALL devoured!)..the only negative is that I crave them *all* the time now! lol

  4. Beth this was the first video I saw of yours. I really wanted snicker doodles that day and I found your recipe. I have made these many times and I love your channel. I feel like you’re talking right to me!! Keep up the good work!

  5. Hey, Beth!I’ve been binge watching your videos ever since last year, and now I’m aiming to try at least one recipe a week, even though I’m still at school! They’re just all too scrumptious to resist! Also, I notice that in some recipes, you use baking soa and in others, baking powder. Can I substitute baking soda for baking powder? If not, what difference does it make?Hope you continue making fabulous recipes!- H

  6. I just made these, and they were amazing! However, they came out more softer and chewer than i anticipated. Would reducing the amount of butter make them no so soft?
