BEST COOKIES EVER!! (Christmas Baking)

VLOGMAS DAY 3!! Today we did some Christmas baking and made the BEST COOKIES EVER!! Vegan Candy Cane Cookies and Chocolate Chip Cookies! Scroll Down for the Recipe!!

Vegan Chocolate Candy Cane Cookie Recipe:
2 1/4 C all-purpose flour
1/2 C unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 C vegan butter (room temp)
1 1/4 C granulated sugar
1/4 C non-dairy milk (I used almond milk)
2 tsp vanilla extract

Frosting Ingredients:
2 C powdered sugar
1 tbsp vegan butter (room temp)
3 tbsp warm water
5 drops of peppermint oil
2 candy canes

Non-Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe:
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped nuts (we didn’t use this)
1 package (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips (2 cups)

Since you didn’t get to see the steps for Mackai’s cookies as much here they are:
Heat oven to 375ºF
Mix sugars, butter, vanilla and egg in large bowl. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips
Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown (centers will be soft). Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack
