Basic Tomato Spaghetti – Mrs Vahchef

Tomato pasta is an Italian pasta recipe with the boiled pasta tossed with freshly prepared tomato puree and a generous use of choicest Italian herbs

Ingredients :
Olive oil 2 tbsp
Garlic (chopped) 3 cloves
Onion (chopped) 1no
Tomatoes (blanched) 4 no’s
Tomato puree 3 tbsp
Tomato ketchup 1 tbsp
Sugar ½ tsp
vinegar ½ tsp
Chilli flakes ½ tsp
Pepper powder ¼ tsp
Oregano ¼ tsp
Thyme pinch
Rosemary pinch
Bell pepper (red and green) each ½ no

Method :
Boil the water and add spaghetti and cook till 80% done.
Heat olive oil in a pan add chopped garlic, chopped onions, blanched tomatoes, tomato puree, tomato ketchup, sugar, vinegar, Chilli flakes, pepper powder and add required water cook it for 5 minutes.
Now add oregano, thyme, rosemary, chopped red and green bell pepper pieces.
Lower the heat and simmer until as thick.
Now the cooked pasta should be add to the sauce pan mix it slowly.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.

Seigniora plese do not call this thing spaghetti I fell like cry the way how you spoiled our national dish.Call it nudels with tomato sauce or something like that.The basic sofritto isGarlic Onions Carrots Tomatoes To end when the sala is done comes origanum not earlier the salsa will get dark.. no plese it is a sin to ad ketchup or sugar to Italian food. We cook our salsa very long on slow fire so all the acid goes away.No mam not all “ Dante” it is all dente Dante is the guy that goes to hell and comes beack it it a theatre from Boccaccio dente is , it has to be bite to spaghetti.The pot is to small 500 grams of pasta requires 2.5 lit of water..I hope people will not thing this is how is it done and stop eating Italian food.What are you doing? Butter? It will burn and the salsa will be bitter. Olive oil only alternative is sun flower but no Italian will like it.No cilantro in Italian food and most important no ginger. It is like adding soya sauce to sambar.
    I am sure you can make rotis or rice.. please stick to it.

  2. No Basil not real spaghetti wtf is with the cilantro jeez. Is this a Mexican spaghetti or something? (Not referring to the host I’m referring to the ingredients.)
