The Anna Edit:

Vegan Mince Pie recipe:

To convert this recipe to cups instead of grams, I Googled and found that 100 grams of flour is roughly 7/8 cup of flour. I ended up using roughly 1.5 cups since her recipe called for 175 grams of flour and it worked perfectly. I also used 1/2 tsp of baking powder, about 1/2 cup of vegan butter, and 4 tablespoons of water.

This recipe made 6 pies.

  1. Baked beans are NOT a dish by themselves, more of an ingredient. Try adding lots of fresh ground black pepper and a dash of Worcestershire sauce (Wuss-ter-sher) which is also suitable for vegans.

  2. Baked beans are pretty basic, I like to put Sriracha and cheese in mine or make cheese and baked bean toasted sandwiches. Mince pies on the other hand, errggghhhhh

  3. It’s called a mince pie because back before the Victorian era people used to make pies out of mince meat , various fruits and spices and as it carried through the years it became know firstly as the savoury Christmas pie then the mince pie when the recipe changed to something more sweet

  4. I work at a bakery and we make mincemeat tarts and use two different kinds, one vegan and one that contains suet (animal fat) so just keep your eyes peeled for that ingred if you buy a filling or the tarts already made somewhere.

  5. I’m from the UK and I’m definitely going to find those chocolates, they look amazing! Also avocado is one of my favourite foods but I wouldn’t put it on beans haha. Maybe the Sriracha though x

  6. I’m a British vlogger. I literally find this hilarious! I also love avocado! I love Heinz beans and can’t imagine them being any sweeter. Mince pies are the BEST! I just ate one. X

  7. just a tip if you melt a little butter, (or vegan butter), and brush it on top of the pies with like 5 mins left in the oven they’ll get a reallllllly gorgeous golden color. Which i think with thos little stars would look AMAZING

  8. The beans on toast don’t appeal to me but might try if I’m out of my usual breakfast foods – could be a good bland meal if I am stuck home with a cold or whatever. The mincemeat pies are adorable and I’m definitely going to try those. I haven’t been to World Market in years but the ginger chocolates just might make me take a ride over there for a visit! Thanks always for your thoughtful and interesting videos!

  9. I love british baked beans, I find the American kind wayyyyy too sweet. I add a bunch of spices and it ends up amazing. Would love to see a video on a full vegan British breakfast

  10. omg too cute when u did that google search. i too am obsessed with a uk accent. australian as well. and also was a spice girl fanatic. great video. also what state are you in? im in new york never heard of wal market

  11. Love this video! Would like to see you do an English fried breakfast too, they’re amazing when veganised. We always have hash browns, Linda McCartney sausages, baked beans, fried bread, fried mushrooms and tinned tomatoes.
If you make the mince pies again, brush the tops before baking with a bit of whichever milk alternative you use (I use soya or almond milk) and sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon and brown sugar 😉
