Adai Dosa is a very popular recipe. Learn how to make this tasty and healthy breakfast recipe of Adai Dosa by following these easy steps.
• Socked rice & Bengal gram (chana dal) – 2 cup
• Split pigeon peas (arhar dal) – ½ cup
• Split black gram (kaala chana) – 1 t-spoon
• Grated dried coconut – 1t-spoon
• Onion – 1/2 piece
• Drumstick leaves – 1cup
• Green chilies – 2 piece
• Ginger – 1 piece
• Red chilli power – 1t-spoon
• Turmeric – ½ t-spoon
• Asafoetida (Hing) – 1t-spoon
• Salt to taste
Step 1: Finely chop drumstick leaves, a half piece of onion, ginger and green chillies. Then grind a dry coconut until it becomes a powder.
Step 2: Now grind soaked gram seeds(dal) and rice; add 1 tbsp of red chilli powder, half a spoon of turmeric, 1 tbsp of asafoetida (hing), some chopped ginger, green chillies and some water.
Step 3: Grind the mixture again to make a thick paste like batter. Take the mixture out in a bowl and add some grated coconut, finely chopped drumstick leaves, a half piece of onion, ginger and green chillies. Finally add some salt as per taste.
Step 4: Heat a dosa pan as you add 1 tbsp of oil to it by pouring the batter on the hot pan starting from the centre to make circular dosas. Heat the batter on medium heat for 3 minutes, flip the dosa and heat again for 3 to 4 minutes.
Adai Dosa is ready to be served with green coconut chutney.
