  1. Years ago I used to get all the different colors of wilton candy melts, but I didn’t have very good luck with melting them. There were some of them that just seemed to seize up and get very dry and lumpy, even though there wasn’t a drop of moisture in them. I eventually ended up just going with white candy coating squares that I get at Walmart or kroger. I know there’s something you can add to the melts to get them melted more smoothly and evenly, but I cannot remember. I’m thinking it was some kind of oil maybe?
